We have been monitoring the global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic situation closely and adhering to the advice of the HKG Government since the outbreak of the virus. The health and well-being of the Hong Kong paddling community is our priority, and given the ongoing uncertainty, it is with sadness that we announce that we are canceling the 21st Deepwater Bay Dragon Boat Regatta, originally scheduled for June 7, 2020. We are very disappointed to have had to do so.

Discovery Bay Dragon Boat Races - 延期 Postponed

In consideration of the latest development of COVID-19 and the appeal from the Government about avoiding crowd gathering, the Discovery Bay Dragon Boat Races 2020 (originally scheduled on 14 June 2020) will be postponed to September 2020 tentatively. The organizing committee will have the final decision by end of June 2020 for the exact deferred date of event or skip for a year, according to the situation and risk assessment in due course.

We put the safety and health condition to the DB community and the participants as our first concern. Also, it is a fact that the training and preparation work is extremely difficult to all parties. 「沙田龍舟競賽2020」宣佈延期

Shatin Dragon Boat Race 2020 Postponed

因應2019冠狀病毒病的最新情況，有需要採取進一步措施，減少社交接觸。沙田龍舟競賽2020籌委會經商討後，決定原訂於2020年6月25日舉辦的「沙田龍舟競賽2020」將會延期舉行，由於比賽細節需重新規劃，日期將稍後公佈。

已繳款的隊伍名額及款項將予保留，日後毋須再次報名。

若疫情在未來數月仍未有消退跡象，本賽會不排除最終取消舉辦今年的比賽，各隊已交的費用將會全數付還。

In view of the latest situation of COVID-19, further measures have to be adopted to achieve social distancing, the Sha Tin Dragon Boat Race 2020 Organizing Committee regrets to inform you that the "Sha Tin Dragon Boat Race 2020" scheduled for 25 June 2020 be put on hold. Since all event logistics will be rearranged respectively, the alternate date will be announced later.

All quota and payment for teams will be retained and no further enrollment in coming alternate race.

If the epidemic situation does not show elimination in next few months significantly, the Race may be called off this year. All fees paid will be fully refunded.

香港仔龍舟競渡大賽 - 延期舉行

致：各龍舟隊代表

端午龍舟比賽在南區已有150多年歷史，由傳統龍舟活動轉變為區內深受年青人喜愛的水上運動，每年均吸引近百隊伍參與，已成為南區一年一度的盛事。

鑒於新冠肺炎持續，政府呼籲市民避免聚集以減低社區傳播的風險，並暫時禁止舉辦大型活動。南區區議會亦通知本會，暫時不會處理今年首兩季的活動撥款申請。因此，原訂6月25日（農曆五月初五）舉行的香港仔龍舟競渡大賽將延期舉行。

在此感謝各隊伍一直以來的參與及支持。待疫情稍緩，本會定必盡快開展香港仔龍舟競渡大賽的籌備工作，並公布活動詳情。

1st International Para Dragon Invitational Races cum Darkness Fighters Charity Regatta

賽程：200 米(直道賽)
Race Course : 200m (sprint)

組別/形式：

1. 分為國際展能組、男⼦公開組、女⼦公開組、混合公開組、企業及社團組，共 5 組別。

2. 「展能組」- 暫時不分傷殘類別，所有肢體及智⼒殘障隊伍、癌病康復者隊伍，甚⾄長期病患隊伍均可報名。如報名超額，會考慮分開傷殘類別。

3. 「公開組」- 為⼀般隊伍⽽設, 歡迎額外加碼報名參加「⿊武⼠蒙眼慈善體驗賽」體驗⿊暗中扒龍⾈滋味(⼀場過，半隊賽員需蒙眼參賽)。

4. 為安全起⾒，展能組只要求比賽時「⾄少半數」划⼿為殘障。如決定全數為殘
障也可，尤其乳癌康復者隊伍，請報名時註明。

Category / Format:

1: International Para Dragons , Men Open, Women Open, Mixed Open,Corporation and Community, total 5 categories.

2. Para Dragons – no separate classification by physical and intellectual impairments, Cancer survivors, even teams for chronic disease patients would be accepted. In case of oversubscription, we may consider separate classifications.

3. "Open Categories"- for general teams. Extra registration is welcome to participate in the "Darkness Fighters Blindfolded Charity Challenge" to experience how the blind paddle. (one match only, at least half boat of paddlers blindfolded).

4. For safety reasons, during the race all teams only requires "at least half" of the paddlers be disabled/ para-dragon. If it is decided that all of them are disabled/paradragon, especially BSC teams, please indicate in registration form.

Notice of Championships Cancellation

因應新型冠狀病毒的最新發展，大專體育協會已密切監察及評估情況。在與會員積極 討論後，並考慮到所有院校已停止運動代表隊的訓練，以及部分院校將於五月初開始 考試，大專體育協會認為現時的情況不宜作賽，因此決定取消 2019-2020 年度的所有 大專比賽，以保障所有參與人士的健康，並減少病毒在社區傳播的風險。

In view of the latest development of the novel coronavirus, the Federation has been closely and actively monitoring and assessing the situation. Having proactively discussed with our members and taking into consideration the cancellation of sports team trainings at all of our member institutions and the starting of exam period of some institutions in early May, the Federation has come to the view that it would not be safe or prudent for competitions to be held at this time. The Federation has therefore decided to cancel all the competitions for year 2019-2020 to safeguard the health of all participants and to reduce the risk of the spread of the novel coronavirus in the community.

Dear 2020 Hualien Pacific International Dragon Boat Festival teams,

有鑑於目前尚未緩和下來的武漢肺炎（2019新型冠狀病毒）疫情，籌委會決定將2020花蓮太平洋國際龍舟節，延至2020年11月20日至22日舉辦，9月15日將重新開放報名。為此造成大家的不便深深感到抱歉！

停辦2020年大埔區龍舟競賽啟事

一年一度之大埔區龍舟競賽原計劃於2020年6月25日端午節舉行， 惟接獲大埔區議會通知，今年之大埔區龍舟競賽撥款申請，於1月22日大埔區議會「財委會」會議中不獲通過。

大埔區龍舟競賽始於戰前，距今約有八十年歷史，大埔區龍舟競賽因區議會反對撥款而取消，史無前例，導致這項非物質文化遺產不能承傳，讓近一百支龍舟隊伍失去參加比賽的機會，市民失去了這個極具中國傳統文化之節日活動而感到失望，大埔區龍舟管理委員會表示極度遺憾。

適逢冠狀病毒疫情仍未明朗關係，無奈決定暫停今年大埔區龍舟競賽。
